FAQ's
All orders are prepared fresh and will ship from Scopa Italian Roots, located in Venice, CA.
All perishable items are hand-prepared by our Scopa Italian Roots and DAMA kitchen teams and are produced in limited quantities, and shipped directly from Scopa Italian Roots. Delivery times and shipping costs vary depending on availability and your shipping selection. This information can all be found at checkout, after you enter your shipping address.
All orders will confirmed within a 72 hour period, however, processing can take up 5 business days, depending on availability and your shipping selection (i.e. If you placed your order on Wednesday afternoon and selected FedEx 2nd Day Shipping, it will not ship until the following Monday). Please reference our weekly shipping schedule below.
Weekly Shipping Schedule:
FedEx 2nd Day: Monday – Wednesday
FedEx Overnight (Standard, Priority, Priority AM): Monday – Thursday
FedEx Overnight, Saturday Delivery: Friday

Unfortunately, we are unable to ship to P.O. Boxes. No exceptions.
Additionally, we do not recommend shipping to USPS facilities, UPS or FedEx distribution centers as most items are perishable and need to be refrigerated upon receipt.
If you are shipping your order to a hotel, venue or other public center such as a hospital, please ensure to include the following:
- Name of the Recipient
- Hotel/venue/Business name in the address.
- Room/Suite Number
We encourage you to let the destination know that a perishable shipment is on the way so they are aware. Scopa Italian Roots is not responsible for packages that are delayed, lost or refused by venues.
If you are shipping to a business, please be aware of the business hours of the building. FedEx delivers between 8am and 8pm. While FedEx carriers do their best to deliver commercial packages during business hours, Scopa Italian Roots cannot guarantee a time of delivery during a window of limited business hours.
For residential addresses only: FedEx Delivery Manager is a resource that allows you to schedule your delivery time. The use of this feature is not required, nor is Scopa Italian Roots responsible for any additional fees or delivery delays.
Scopa Italian Roots ships to most residential addresses, businesses, venues, apartment buildings.
At the moment, we ship to the domestic United States only.
We cannot ship to PO Boxes, however we will ship non-perishable items to most APO/FPO addresses.
We recommend immediately opening the package upon receipt and refrigerating the perishable contents until you plan to use them. Refrigeration will extend the freshness of the unopened items for up to 4-5 days.
