Shipping Policy 

Scopa Italian Roots takes pride in every product we offer and strive to deliver them in the best possible condition on the requested delivery date. 

While there are many things we do to mitigate the risk of shipping fresh food items around the country, there are unfortunately some things outside of our control like the weather and transit delays once the package is in the hands of FedEx. As such, the shipping guidelines published on this website are not guarantees of a shipping or arrival date. 

Scopa Italian Roots is unable to guarantee time of delivery, as this is all subject to the local carrier. Most carriers will deliver packages anytime between 8am-8pm, however, it may be after this time. If you are placing an order for a time-sensitive event, we recommend placing your order early and scheduling it to arrive 1-2 days before your event. All of our products can be refrigerated upon arrival to preserve freshness, however, we do not recommend freezing. In some instances, due to weather, high package volume (especially during holidays) or other uncontrollable events, we may have your product arrive earlier than requested to ensure that it arrives in the best a condition possible. 

Scopa Italian Roots is not responsible for delays in transit caused by weather, natural disasters, high package volume, mechanical error, strikes, terrorism safety control, local carrier mis-scans, or inaccurate/incomplete shipping information. 

Scopa Italian Roots does not require a signature for the release of any shipment, therefore, leaving a package at an address is ultimately up to the complete discretion of the individual delivery person and is therefore entirely outside our control. 

Customers are responsible for checking that all shipping information is correct  before submitting an order, as well as in their order confirmation email. If you need to modify the delivery address once your order has shipped, a $20 address change processing fee will apply to your order. Once an address modification is requested, carriers require one business day to process the change, which may delay the package. Scopa Italian Roots is not responsible for delays in transit caused by address modification. 

Please email our team at care@scopaitalianroots.com to notify us of any corrections ASAP to avoid the $20 address charge and any shipping delays. 

There are no returns, refunds or cancellations allowed on any orders that have shipped. 

All packages are shipped via FedEx and therefore, we cannot ship to P.O. Box addresses. No exceptions.

Our Weekly Shipping Fulfillment Schedule (except for Holidays)

  • 2nd Day/2nd Day AM: Monday - Wednesday
  • Standard/Priority Overnight: Monday - Thursday
  • Priority Overnight Saturday Delivery: Friday

Company holidays include, but are not limited to Fourth of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years Day.

Shipping Rates:

Shipping rates are determined by FedEx and are calculated per box, by physical dimensions, dimensional weight, actual weight, transportation, and fuel charges.

We have made our own rates available at check out. 

Each kit is carefully packed and shipped in an individual box to ensure freshness. If multiple kits are selected, the shipping rate is auto-consolidated (based on the weight/dimensions of each box) at checkout.

Why are your shipping rates so much higher than other companies?

Our rates are issued to us by FedEx and are negotiated based on data history, volume, and shipping zone from our location. As a small company, we have the best rates that are available to us at this time - and will continue to offer you the same rates we are charged, without any additional fees.
